Account and data deletion
Delete local financial data
Spendly's financial database is stored on your device. You can remove it by clearing Spendly's storage in Android Settings or uninstalling the app. Do this only after creating any backup you want to keep.
Delete Google Drive backups
Disconnecting Google Drive inside Spendly stops app access but does not delete existing backup files. To remove hidden application data, open Google Drive on the web, go to Settings → Manage apps, find Spendly, open its options, and choose the option to delete hidden app data when available.
Request deletion of the Spendly cloud identity
Email [email protected] with the subject Spendly account deletion request. Send the request from the Google email linked to Spendly when possible. We may ask for limited information needed to verify ownership.
After verification, we will delete or de-identify the Firebase identity and associated Spendly backend quota records that we control, unless retention is required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or transaction records. We aim to complete verified requests within 30 days.
Purchases and subscriptions
Deleting a Spendly identity does not cancel a Google Play subscription and cannot erase records controlled by Google Play or RevenueCat. Cancel or manage subscriptions in Google Play before requesting deletion. Store and payment providers retain records according to their own legal obligations.
What is not deleted automatically
- Local records on devices you still control.
- Google Drive backups until you remove hidden app data.
- Google Play purchase and payment records.
- Security or legal records that must be retained.
